Unable to make Adobe Flash Player work

Glad to hear your computer is almost 100%.

As far as Outlook is concerned, I have very limited knowledge. I only use it at work and that's because I have no choice.

If you open Outlook and go to Tools | Options | Preferences (Tab) | E-mail Options (button) | Advanced E-mail Options (button) | Save messages (section). There should be some options pertaining to how messages are saved.

I also found this article that may provide some info:

And I sent a message to one of the Forum experts in all things Microsoft Office. Perhaps she can offer some advice.

Thanks for your help.

I think I'm gonna reinstall. Probably in 2 or 3 days.

But I need some help. Is it possible to make a backup of the mail? I use windows live mail 2011. And my internet favourites?
Hello! marsmimar asked if I could assist, so here I am and I'll do what I can. :D

You seem to be doing very well.
I have just read through your thread and I am slightly confused. In you post quoted above, you say that you are using Windows Live Mail 2011.

So my first question is:
Are we dealing with Outlook or Windows Live Mail?
If it's Outlook, which version are you running?

These might prove useful if it's Outlook:

Hello Irene,

Sorry for the delay, but only saw your reply a few moments ago!

Previously I used Windows Live Mail 2011 because the version I had of Office 2010 didn't include Outlook.

The version installed last week has Outlook 2010!:)

The backup with extensions eml was made using Windows Live Mail. I read somewhere that this extension doesn't work with Outlook.:(

I use gmail, and I was able to put the received mails and all the folders in Outlook. But not the sent mails!

After that, I discovered that all the mails (received and sent) are in a gmail folder. A bigger one! (+-14GB!). And almost all the attachments are duplicated!

I think something is wrong...

Could you help me?

I send some information attached.

Thank's

Hello again! :)

Are you using IMAP and POP3 mail?

In the following link there is an excellent guide about transferring and backup requirements:
Move Outlook information to another computer that has Outlook 2010 installed - Outlook - Office.com

It is quite a long 'Article' but it would be advisable to take the time to read through to extract the relevant information.

I suspect that your IMAP files may be duplicated because they have been automatically downloaded from the Mail Server and you have also copied from your backup... but I may be wrong.

IMAP: account Data is kept on the mail server. A synchronized copy of your items is kept on your computer in an Outlook Data File (.pst). You don’t need to move or back up these files. These files are re-created on your new computer when you add the account to Outlook.

Hello,

Yes, I've got POP and IMAP activated.

I was unable to copy from my backup (files with extension eml)! I don't have mails duplicated - but the atachments are!

It seems that the article is not applicable - I had Windows Live Mail previously, not Outlook!

Thanks

Sorry, a correction: POP was activated once, some years ago. It seems that no option is activated now.

I have to admit that I am now quite confused.

This thread began with a problem with Adobe Flash. We seem to have become 'embroiled' in a number of other issues.

Perhaps you could explain precisely where you are with each? What is fixed and what is not?

One more question:
Since you last installed Office/Outlook 2010, have you done all updates?

OK. After formating the computer everithing seems allright. And since then, all the updates have been done.

But previously I had Windows Live Mail installed (and got backup of the mails, with extension .eml).

Now, I have Outlook 2010. I was unable to recuperate the backup (it seems that it only is possible if I had it as .pst)

So, The only problem now is with the e-mail.

After associating my gmail with Outlook all the e-mails appeared. I made an error somewhere and now I've got 17 GB in my Outlook - 3 GB in my inbox and 14 GB in a folder named gmail. And most of the attachments (word, excel, jpg) appear twice in each mail!

Shall I put all the mails in folders pst (and one day erase the duplicated attachments) and after erase Outlook, reinstall it and activate POP in gmail only from know only?

And moments ago, received in my blackberry copy of the 200 e-mails erased in the last week!

Each time I delete in Outlook, the sub-folder "deleted items" in the folder gmail, after a while they return and I receive them again in my blackberry!
