Did you do a clean install or upgrade install to Windows 7?

You might try a repair install to see if that may help. If not then a you may need to do a clean (format) install instead if you did a upgrade originally.

You might try a repair install to see if that may help. If not then a you may need to do a clean (format) install instead if you did a upgrade originally.

Given missing info, errors during SFC, and deny permission sin the registry, I tend to agree. Even if we get this fixed, another problem could sprout.

But try the registry fix first. *crosses fingers*

SFCRunning SFC /PURGECACH didn't work as the command was not found :S

Registry: I tried changing the Child Permissions and ticked it off, clicked apply and then it went back to being unticked O_O

Ahh sorry, bad choice of words :) I originally did a clean install. Not now :P But I might if it solves the problem :)

So this post was marked as solved when it isn't actually solved. I believe a clean install should fix these problems but,...you need to find out what corrupted your Op system in the first place or the problem will just occur again.

Yeah it didn't work for me either and when I checked Vista it was the same. Whoops, but at least I learned something :D.
In XP it works perfectly (see pic), so I wonder how you clear the SFC cache in Vista/7.... hmm


I did a clean install :)

Well we gave it our best shot and you have a fresh OS for Christmas :geek:
