Solved Unable to reinstall Windows7 Home dual boot 2 drives 1 drive replaced

I had a dual boot system. Windows 7 Home and Windows 7 pro on 2 separate hard drives.
The main hard drive crashed with Windows 7 Home and had to be replaced.
When I put the OS cd in the cd drive and boot off of the cd drive (using the escape key and set to boot from the cd drive), the computer shuts down and the cd is not read and I am unable to reinstall Windows 7 Home on my PC.

Does the PC ever shutdown if you enter W7 Pro ?

Windows 7 does not fit on a cd, only a dvd, but I`m sure you meant DVD.

Where did you get the install dvd from ?

Did you create it yourself ?

Did you remove all drives except the one you want the new install on?
