Solved Unable to retrieve Photos / Documents from older W-7 C: Hard Drives.

I am trying to cull photos and documents off of several older W-7 C: Hard Drives.
The System I am using runs W7 Pro.
I have a USB Docking Station attached to it with one of the old W7 Systems Drives in it.
The Software I am using to identify all photo and document duplicates, says W7 prevents their being moved.

Is there a way for me to Boot from this USB attached Drive and run Easy File Transfer, placing the output of Easy File Transfer on the Internal Drive? This way I could search for and move the 'stuff' I want?

Go easy as I am a Novice.

This is normal all files on these drives will be owned by the user of the old system you will need to take ownership of the folders. Add Take Ownership to Context Menu in Windows 10 | Tutorials

I installed 'Take Ownership' and started it processing on Drive G:, the former C: Drive from an older Windows 7 PC.
It has been running for well over an hour now with who knows how many entries flashing across the screen. I can see the word success flash by on most entries.

My question is: Should I worry that it's been running so long or not?

ALSO

When I want to process any additional Drives, I would assume that I will need to run 'Take Ownership' on each and every one. Is there the chance that deep within the bowels of the Windows 7 that is gaining ownership of the additional Files could or might get so big that there could be a problem? If so, is there a way to 'own' a Drives Files after processing that Drive, thus relieving any potential of over filling any Windows 7 File that keeps track of this stuff?

Just select folders you want to access not the whole drive as it will take forever as it has to write to every single file on the PC

In my excitement, it appears I messed something up.

My Desktop and Applications all work well.
My wife's has a problem with Microsoft Edge.
Somehow, we get a message regarding the Profile being corrupt.
Edge will not start.
I ran SFC.
I did a Restore Point restore of the System 10 days back.
I did a File Restore from 10 days back
None of these things effected the Error we get regarding Her Profile on her Desktop.

Is there any hope?

This is 'part' of the error we get: "We cannot read or save your preferences."

It flashes so briefly, the rest of the message is gone before I have been able to read it.


We also get a message that MS Word cannot create the 'work file'?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have 'monkeyed' with Permissions to the point where we can open and close Word and Excel File from the Desktop.

I tried to 'monkey' with EDGE but I cannot get it to open / run.

Any ideas in how to solve our EDGE situation?

Note: Edge works fine from my Desktop for some reason!
