Unauthorized copy of Windows 7

I have a unauthorized copy of windows 7. Can I upgrade to windows 10 (legitimate) without losing any data on my hard drive?

Yes, you can.

You can change the product key to enter the legitimate key to be activated with instead.

The key will need to be for the exact same edition you currently have installed.
