A program has started running on my computer that shows up whenever I go to any website. At the task-bar area of my laptop, there is a bar that starts with a white circle with a blue S in the middle. It has to do with monitoring scripts on the site. In the right corner of this task-bar is a button labeled OPTIONS. When I click on it, a long menu comes up asking me to choose how or if I want to run scripts on this site, eg. temporarily allow, not allow, globally allow (dangerous), revoke temporary permissions, allow, etc. I have never had this before, until yesterday when I had to do a windows system repair (using windows built-in repair when there's a problem). It seems to be something that is trying to protect me, but why now? I have had this laptop for several years and it is just now appearing. If I don't make the proper selections for the website, some things don't show up...just leave blank spaces on the website. I don't want this running, but how do I stop it when I can't find out what it is. Nothing new shows under programs, so it must be something in windows that's always been there but never activated. I need help identifying it and stopping it.
