Unintsall xp mode +how

Hello was not sure where to post this so it may need to be moved
I installed xp mode sometime in the last few months (I don't remember doing it) Anyway I do not use it and would like to uninstall but it is not listed in programmes and features can anybody shed some light on this. It is not interfering with the performance of the OS I would just like it to be gone any suggestions would be appreciated.

According to everything I'm reading, it should be listed in your programs list to be uninstalled.

Remove Windows XP Mode, virtual machines, or Windows Virtual PC

That is what I have read as well but it is not there

It really is not listed in the uninstall programmes. But xp mode fires up when I start it from my start menu

No xp mode. But there is one for windows virtual pc ( KB958559 )

Hello Odin,

You might see if installing XP Mode again (step 4 here) to repair it may have Windows XP Mode listed in Programs and Features afterwards where you will be able to uninstall it.

Many thanks that did the trick. It was just lucky I had kept the installer on an external drive, as I could not get past the validation process it was a never ending circle of continually going back to the validation process. Anyways all fine now.

ps Brown muscat,me and computers don't mix very well at all.
