Hello, I'm using an asus Eee pc with windows 7 and about a month ago my computer started acting up:
It connects to the internet but after a while it would show me no internet access (wireless connection, other laptops have no problem) and to solve it I'll put the computer to sleep mode and then wake it up, only to have the problem return after a few minutes.
-I've checked all the drivers for updates and they are all up to date
-When trying troubleshooting my computer gets stuck and I have to power it off- specifically on resetting network adapter
-on device manager it shows me these network adapters: 1. Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20) 2. Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter 3. Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Did you try doing System Restore? If no and if this issue started occurring after doing some recent software changes on your computer, then I would suggest try restoring your system back to a date when it was working fine. System Restore will affect Windows system files, programs, and registry settings only.

For System Restore steps, you can refer to the URL mentioned: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/system-restore

After a total failure to receive wireless connection. I restored my system, unfortunately I didn't have a restore point past thursday. Although the laptop seems to stay connected longer, the same problem still occurs.

Try going into Device Manager and disable the Msoft Virtual WiFi miniport driver, it can cause connection problems.

If the wireless is dropping connection try going into the routers settings and change the wireless channel to a different one. Also make sure you are using WPA2 security with AES encryption.
