Unwanted Network Connection keeps showing up!

Every time I boot into Windows 7, it tries to connect to 2 network connections.

1. JohnResidence (which is a Home network)
2. Unidentified Network (which is a Public network)

There is no way for me to delete the Unidentified network, as it doesn't show up in the list when i select 'merge or delete'. However, when I disable my network adaptor, and RE-enable it, the unidentified network connection disappears, and it connects successfully to the JohnResidence connection.

This is becoming a nuisance, because EVERY single time I login to windows I need to go through the same process and have no idea how to get rid of it.

Any ideas?

Are you using Wireless or Cable?

One Wireless connection should not connect to 2 networks. Same with a cable connection. Do you have another Wireless card/or NIC card on your machine? if so disable that that one(right click on the other adapter in change adapter settings in Network and Sharing Center)

Hope this Helps..and Happy Holidays..:)

How is it connecting to Two(2) networks if you only one(1) NIC Card?? That can't happen..

Screen shot please..:)

I am also confused when you list the two networks it is trying to connect to..
What is your setup of how you get to the Internet??(example, I have a computer that is connected to a switch and the switch is connected to the router and that router/modem goes to the ISP to get Internet)

Thanks

Do an "ipconfig" in a command shell and see how many adapters it lists and what the IP addresses are...
