Hi, first machine description

Os : Win7 Pro 64 Bit Original and new
MB : ASUS P7H57D-V EVO
Processor : Intel i7 860
Ram : 4 x 2 Gb Corsair XMS3 CMX4GX3M2A1600C9
Graphic : Ati Radeon HD5670
HDD : 2 x WD GP 1 Tb - 1 x Seagate 1 Tb

Problem: a bit long to explain...
I first tried to install OS on a RAID1, so at first i setted raid in the bios with the 2 WD1Tb, then i've created the array and i started the installation.
The WIN DVD it recognize the array, it start the installation, it does the first reboot, when is close to finish it give an error that cannot finish the installation. I spent 10 day trying to fix the problem without result.
Then i decided to bypass the problem, I installed the OS on a single drive, then I've cloned the HDD to the RAID1.
Everything seems going fine but..... Windows update and MSN Messenger are not connecting, like having a Equal SID problem.
If i Clone the working installation, on another single drive everything works included WIN UPDATE and messenger.
Cloned on the Array, no.
The array, is correctly recognized by WIN7, I've downloaded the latest drivers from Asus MB site, but the problem still

What can i try?

Thanks to everybody

Have you tried installing on a single drive, then setting that drive to RAID in the BIOS?

No, but i'm not sure about the possibility to set a drive as Raid, containing data, and then creating array, keeping the datas.
You think i may do that?

It can't hurt to try with a fresh install. :)

... When you set raid in bios it normally requires a wipe of the drives.... or it does with both of my machines I have in raid.

I'm shocked... :D
so.. from the RAID 1 Array 1 Tb (2 x 1 Tb), I made a cloned disk on a single 500Gb Hdd. In the Bios, I setted it as Raid Single Drive.
Then i restart pc, everything was working, Update and messenger too.
From Intel Storage Manager in WIN7, I' built a RAID1 Array with another 500Gb HDD.
Restarted the system, everything was perfectly working within Update and MEssenger.
Then, i take off 1 500 Gb HDD, and rebuilt the array with 1 500Gb working, and 1 Wiped 1Tb HDD.
Restarted, and ... again, update and messenger are not connecting.
I tried then to rebuild the array with both 1 Tb Hdd and nothing.. Update and messenger are dead
So.. it seems that the problems are the 2 x 1 Tb WD Green power Hard drives.
How can be possible????
