Hey guys,

I've been trying to update my BIOS to new version, because I've been having strange system freezes very randomly lately. I've tried to reinstall Windows 7 and some other stuff, but nothing seems to help, so I want to try updating the BIOS. I have a Striker II extreme motherboard and tried to use the AsusUPDATE utility, but I get this message: Warning! The date of BIOS image is later than current one, please flash the BIOS using ASUS DOS utility if you still want to do this.

I've been trying to find a way how to do this, but there's so many different things on the web.. Could anyone explain to me how to flash my BIOS?

Thanks in advance,

Amplid

Dont really have anything better than a guess, but check your computer clock and date. Bottom right of the screen.

Consult your motherboard manual. It will explain how you go about this. Its pretty simple..download the bios and flash using the Asus update utility.
I would reset your bios to defaults first tho if you have been playng in it,e.g overclocking.
Also BEFORE you start I would CHECK for the Latest Version of the ASUS Update Utility for your Motherboard and update it first.
