I run the tool and am posting the results.

2 weeks back it did install Win Defender update, after checking and displaying new update was available, but since 2 days it isn't scanning daily and now displaying an error on a manual check.

Which antivirus program are you using ?
If a third party windows defender should be disabled and making the wd updates not even show up.

Hi Alexey,
Yes i see its a re-install, its currently activated but not registered
please run KB971033, that will clear the file mismatches
Your version of Office may be causing the problem, it appears NOT to be going a server which it should be as its in the VLK range, this is triggering the 80004005 error and stopping updates.
(note the product ID for it is in a known range of Keygen installs which ARE blocked)
You might want to consider removing it

As Thrash mentioned MBAM is not a true AV, please get one.
I see its a really old rig, Bios dated 2006 might be a newer one available.

Correct Tharsh, I have MBAM 3.0.6 paid version,so windows recognizes it an an AV too.

Hi Thrash,

I shall restored the 2nd image, W7 and MS Off, still the same error.

Before going for clean install, shall try restoring with the 1st image of W7 with updates alone.

Or else shall have to clean install.

Torch can correct me please but all you might have to do is reenter the exist activation code ?

Restoring a system image before the trouble would save a lot of updating for sure
Where or when is up to you I'd try the most recent and keep going back if needed well before going all the way back
Not much has changed except a different monthly rollup now at March
I still have not done January 2017 or March's yet

Hi Thrash,

Correct, it was an error connecting to the MS server.

Ran check for updates and this time no error, displayed 8 Important ones, 2 for W7 and rest for Off, downloaded and installed all fine.

But on recheck, am still getting the same error, may be the server is busy these days, and was mere luck that got easily connected......

On clicking on Windows Update still see Yellow message check for updates, and if I run get the same error.....any ideas why?

PS: JFYI, once I created the last backup image, installed CCleaner and ran it's reg cleaner........could that be the issues, fixing/deleting all reg errors?

I intend to restore that last image, the one before installing CCleaner and running registry cleaner.

I would not use the reg cleaner but then again I personally would not use ccleaner

You'd have to read the tutorial I forget all that option 3 does it's just an all around best way to start clean

If hypothetically, the image without CC, works fine than their isn't any need for a clean install?

Today, I got connected to MS server, with the CC image with reg cleaned, downloaded updates..than started to getting connection errors.

Probably server issues...

But anyways, I'll try with restored image without CC
otherwise would do a clean install.

Late Patch tuesday users & latest IP released 12hrs ago.

Dont use it myself but does CC not have an undo option?

If everythings running fine, and judging by the list of available updates ready to install it looks that way.

Update whats showing, (delete MBAM if its still problemmatic),
run the inbuilt MS diskcleaner, its the only one that knows how to properly clean WU sxs folders REBOOT.
THEN make your image

note as its a system builder, the product key will be part of the image,
but any clean install will need it and the Office key.
