I've been lurking on these forums for a couple days now, looking for a solution for my trouble with update failures and constant program crashes. I had to completely format my hard drive about two months ago and bought an external hard drive to accommodate just such an event, so doing it again is irritating but on the table.
I used an elevated command prompt -> sfc /scannow to look for and attempt to repair corrupted system files in the hoeps that I won't have to (once again) refresh my system. However, it could not repair all the corrupted files, and I do not have a Windows 7 installation disk as the backup is included on a separate drive on the computer itself (ask Toshiba, they're clearly nuts).
I would appreciate someone with greater Windows chops than I taking a look at the sfc.txt file from the CBS log (which I somehow am denied access to, even as Admin?) and any input on fixes for my situation other than pushing the Big Red Button of Mass Destruction on my hard drive for a second time.
