Update History vs. Installed Updates

While looking into recently installed Windows Updates I noticed something strange.

This month there were five Important Office 2007 updates offered to me. I installed them and it shows this in Update History. But when I look in Installed Updates (where I would need to uninstall from) it lists 20 something updates from that same date.

How is this possible? Are there other updates within the main update? I've never spent a lot of time looking at Installed Updates but it seems this may occur for other updates as well.

They often do not match. Mine don't.

"View Update History" often only shows more recent updates.

The one marked "Installed Updates" shows the entire list and allows for uninstalling them if necessary.

Nothing to worry about. :D ;)

Thanks. I'm still a bit confused though. I understand it is showing the entire list but why does it show that all those were installed on the same date (8/15/2012) when they clearly weren't? There are others listed as installed on earlier dates so it's not like it listed everyone with that date.

Since I don't use Office, my records don't have that history.

However, .net framework 4 is installed and updated. AND memory recalls maybe two or three, at most, for any monthly update, while the June log shows a dozen updates installed.

So there may be nested updates packaged together, for non-Windows 7 core updates.
