I manually uninstalled an update some time ago, and when viewing Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates the update in question is not listed. However, going in Windows Update > Update History, the update is listed as status = successful and the date installed is shown. Is there any other way to verify that the update is either hidden or uninstalled and not successfully (currently) installed? Thanks.

History cannot become Current affairs. :D As long as the update doesnt show up in your installed updates, its not there, simple. And as long as you dont hide the update on the Winupdates webpage and the update is critical/ important, it'll keep showing up in the list of updates to be installed.

BTW, what update is this?
