I'm not entirely sure how to update drivers, so I want to double check. I have an ATI Radeon X1200 Display Adapter and I go to the ATI site and on the list of drivers to update X1200 isn't on it. Does that mean that the driver isn't updatable at all or no updates at the moment?

Did you select Radeon or notebook for the product line? I believe you have to select notebook. There is no x1200 listed under Radeon and it is a notebook isn't it? You could also go to the notebook manufacturers website and get the driver for your model there.

Type device manager in search.

Go to device manger. Click on items that you are interested in. If no yellow marker, you can see that everything is working properly

You can update from the device manager.

This is off topic but I just ran a Diagnostic Test and my HardDisk Failed the test. What does this mean?

I tried both. X1200 isn't there. Unless I'm on the wrong site.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't no yellow ! or ? in device manager just mean there are no problems detected with that device. Your driver could still be out of date and the one currently installed is working fine.

I only went as far as selecting notebook, after that it asked for a brand name like Acer or Dell and I didn't go any further. Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD

The official site didnt help any?
try this:

Ask Iris

Drivers here:
Model Content Page

Yeah, I've been checking that site. There just has never been an update for my driver so I was wondering if I should go to the ATI website. Couldn't find it there either. I was just wondering if there was an update. Everyone always says to update your drivers and I never have. When I couldn't find them, I started to worry. I just find it odd that there hasn't ever been an update for that driver and I've had this laptop for 3 years.

The Win7 64 Chipset driver should be the graphics as well. Im fairly certain they are tied in together.

Beyond that, the only thing I could suggest is the ones win7 will install, as there very likely may be no newer ones available. :(

If you open up device manager and look at the properties for your video adapter, you can check the date under the driver tab to see how current your driver is. Like Wishmaster said being a laptop with integrated graphics it might be rolled into the chip-set drivers offered by the manufacturer.

Backup your data now before something bad happens. It means It's probably time to replace your hard drive. How old is your laptop? What diagnostic program did you run?

PC Diagnostic Tool built in to Toshiba. I have a laptop so how should I go about replacing my HD? I ran Seagate Seatools and I passed both the short test and long test. I tried to run Chkdsk but when I click it, it says I can't run it while the disk is in use. I schedule it to run at boot and once I reboot nothing runs. I'll try again.

Look on the bottom of the laptop for a small panel with HD or hard drive marked on it. If there is an access panel usually all you do is remove the screw(s) to open it and gain access. Then have alook inside to see how the hard drive comes out. To be safe have a look online for a service manual for your model and go from there.

3 years old, I'm guessing its no longer under warrenty? Ok so it failed the Toshiba test but passed the Seagate test? If you use this laptop a lot and for buisness use I would replace the drive and run the diagnostics again. If it fails again then there is a fault on the laptop, if it passes then it was a failing hard drive. Otherwise backup your data and just keep using it to see if it gets worse.

I would think you should see something other than a blank screen when you run chkdsk. I haven't run it in ages though. Is the hard drive light flickering?
