Updating Windows 7 NVIDIA video drivers worth it?

Hello fellow stubborn users of Windows 7, I have been wondering if it's worth updating video drivers. With how Microsoft really wants to kill off Windows 7 and have pressured major companies to stop supporting it, my mind tells me NVIDIA could be subtly sabotaging their newer W7 drivers to arouse more problems and get users to move to Windows 10. Is this suspicion worth considering?

What I'm really asking here is, is there a good reason for updating video drivers on an OS that is no longer supported if I don't run the latest games?

i doubt that there's any sabotage going on. If you want to decide whether or not to update a driver, look at the release notes to see if there is a benefit to you.

I had no problem using NVIDIA drivers in Windows 7 SP1 64-bit until AFTER version 461.40.

Installing 461.72 or newer versions caused display problems.

After doing some research, I decided to revert all the way back to version 391.35.

There have been no more problems with my Windows 7 SP1 64-bit computers.

These are my NVIDIA graphics cards:
GeForce GT 730
GeForce GTX 645
GeForce GT 1030
