Upgrade Comcast Xfinity gatway?

The provided Comcast Xfinity gateway router never seems to run properly or provide a true "high speed". I would like to purchase my own....any recommendation that would be compatible, do a combo of gateway,wifi and router?

Well; there are quite a few options out on the market available. Nowadays I think the best way to go is to get a combo router/modem; as that way you only have to deal with 1 piece of equipment as opposed to 2. From my own experience; I think netgear is a very good brand to go with.
