Upgrade issue

4 years ago I upgraded from Windows 7 Starter to 7 Professional. I had to restore from a Factory Image and now have 7 starter again. I didn't realize that I would need more than the Product ID to reinstall. I need an Upgrade Key and after approx 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft, i was disconnected without receiving any help. How can I get an upgrade key? Support via telephone was of no help. I spoke with 6 different departments...none of which could/would help. Please, any ideas?

Once you loose your COA key and Microsoft says no I have no idea other than buying another legal key from a reputable seller.
