I'm going to be giving my Win 7 pc a boost by upgrading the ram to 2x2048 ocz 6400 ddr2 800mhz chips. If I mix them with two 1024x2 pc5300 will it turn off dual channel, worsen performance, or benefit? Thanks! Also my mobo specs are below the acual motherboard is a nettle 2 and runs an amd 5000+ cpu. Ideally it would be cool if one channel ran at its native speed and the other channel at its own native speed.
Well as I keep reading stuff my nettle 2 board has 1.8v memory chips, will they automatically adjust to run a higher voltage, say 2.1v?
On the hp website it says it will uspport dual channel memory for pc4200, pc5300, and pc6400 @ 800mhz. Does that mean that my oem bios will automatically adjust the voltages, because with the oem there's obviously no manual way of going about this
At this point I simply want to know if these will run:
