uploading photos to web with Windows 7

I have a toshiba satellite laptop running windows 7 after enjoying XP for several years...
My problem centers around photos.
I cannot right click on a photo(on the web or in an email) and find 'save as' and send it to my picture folder
I also cannot upload pictures to the web... id pictures on web pages, and facebook. all three browsersxx (IE, Firefox, Chrome) stop, and reload the page when I attempt to do this activity ---- click on 'upload'.....I never see a browse window. I also cannot add images to email. when clicking on attach the window closes and reloads.
Anyone out there have any help for me?

Hi LPaulson, welcome to 7F!

Some of your problem sounds like you may have a bad context menu handler, I was going to ask you if you could post a snip of your context menu, but you don't see the browse window you would need to post one.

• Can you see "Save As", but it is "grayed out"?

Have you tried to see if this happens while in Safe Mode with Networking? Look under Here's How - Step #3 and 4 to get there.
I mention this mode because from your description it sounds like this problem occurs while online. I wouldn't think you would run into these problems while offline have you?

If the context menu works okay while in safe mode and you're online, I would suspect a newly added program that may have added menu items that are conflicting with other handlers on the menu.

• Have you recently installed any image editors that may have added menu shortcuts to the menu?

• This could also be a problem with add-ons or extensions to your browsers. Do you run a lot of them?

• There is also the possibility that some of the pictures you are trying to save while online have a security code that won't allow the saving of pictures.

Internet explorer

Click on the suggestion (No Add-ons) or it’s located at,
Start/ All programs/ Accessories folder/ System tools folder/ No add-ons.
