.URGENT help neeede.Left mouse Button click becoming very unresponsive

hey guys,
please help me as this problem is screewing me up.

when ever i click the left mouse button to open any file or programs,it doesnot respond.After clicking it for 8 or nine times then it responds.others all the keys of the the keyboard and the right mouse button are working fine..please help me how to get thru this problem..in short to say left mouse click is unresponsive.have to click 8,9 times to open up something

PS:the problem even arises when i start the pc in safe mode.i did disk clean up,tune up,everything which i expected to help but it DIDNOT help.so please guys help me

Is this a laptop touchmouse? Or a normal mouse with a cord?

If mouse with cord:

• does this mouse work if attached to another machine?
• does another mouse work if attached to your system?

on boot press F8 and you see the advanced boot options, where also "safe mode" can be selected. Select "repair your computer". follow instructions on screen.

Select command prompt by left mouse clicking. Close command prompt. Select it again, close it. Select it again, close it. Works? Or same problem?

Normally a touchpad mouse has an area which can be used to move the mouse. Also a small bar for left and right click.

Tapping on that area where you can move the mouse cursor normally is programmed to be left click as well. Double tapping is double left click (so opens a file or folder). That works? Did work before?

i tried double tapping too n its not helping me.now as you adviced me to repair my computer,so when it pressed F8 on boot and clicked on repair my computer.i got a message which reads like this:

Windows failed to start up. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2.choose your language settings and then click next.
3.click "repair your computer."

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

File: \windows\ststem32\winload.exe

Status: 0xc000000f

i inserted the disc.but i didn't find any language setting option ..where is it located..and the disc that we are talking about is it the recovery disc??

reagentc/enable

Try to boot F8 "repair your computer again". Fails again.... corrupt winre.wim file. nothing to do with mouse btw.

You should have made anyway before to recover your computer in case of sever problems.
Can you boot from that disc? Mouse is working then?

What recovery disc are you using? Don't use the MANUFACTURER recovery stuff!!
just boot from something bootable (outside win7). just to test if mouse is working

in win7 itself?
in F8-repair your computer?
in win7 installation dvd?
in system repair disc?

Did you create a system repair disc, as asked you before?

Or just download partition wizard bootable CD Free download Magic Partition Manager Software, partition magic alternative, free partition magic, partition magic Windows 7 and server partition software - Partition Wizard Online the last one in the list so http://www.partitionwizard.com/download/pwhe7.iso .

More info Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD.

Just burn that ISO and boot from it. Can you left click on partitions? Don't do anything with partitions, don't apply the changes if made accidently!

I just wanna know if mouse works outside win7.

the "system repair disc" is just a copy of F8 "repair my computer". And as you told me before... F8 repair my computer crashes. I hope I'm wrong. Tell me your progress.
