USB Drive Problem

I've had a Win 7 desktop for awhile and regularly copy folders to a USB hard drive. On the USB drive, I'll often move files to different folders, delete some files, etc. No problem with any of these activities.

This past week my wife decided to abandon XP and got a Win 7 desktop. We got everything set up and working fine except for one thing. She also uses a USB hard drive for certain folders (not the same drive I use, but the same type/brand). Here's where the problem occurs. Every time she tries to move a file on the USB drive, delete a file, etc., she's asked to enter her Administrator password.

By the way, we both have Win 7 Home Premium, we're both using a "Standard" user account, there is no encryption on the system or the USB drive.

What's going on? Any suggestions on where to look for the problem. Although I tried to set up both our computers exactly the same way, there's obviously some difference in how the USB drive is handled.

Thanks.
