SOOO...I just bought this Dell RC6 Infrared Receiver to use with my Harmony One remote with my desktop PC. I know the remote is programmed correctly because my Alienware m17x responds correctly to it using its built in CIR. But the on the desktop when I plug in the IR receiver windows shows it installs correctly, but no eHome IR receiver shows up in device manager. The only things that the installation adds to the device manager are 2 HID-compliant devices and 2 USB Input Devices under the "Human Interface Devices" tree, and one USB Composite Device is added under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" tree. Is there a driver inf/sys missiing or do I need to select one of the added Device Manager entries and point it to a different driver. Thanks.

Apart from windows 7 media center, none. The receiver stated it needed no extra drivers or software. The model/part number for the receiver is OVU104007/00.

Your Harmony may work with the Alienware but that doesn't mean it will work with the RC6. The RC6 reciever was made to work specifically with the RC6 remote. The codes may not be the same. Did you go through the Windows Media Center setup with the RC6 installed?

Yes, I did the Windows Media Center setup with the RC6 installed and the setup was completed successfully. I was told by someone else that the receiver was not installed correctly since it does not show up as an IR device in the USB or HID tree under Device Manager. This is the the receiver I bought: Genuine Dell OVU400307/00 RC6, RC6IR Remote Control Infrared (IR) USB Receiver For Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition (MCE), Works on Vista, Windows 7, Windows XP, Linux, Hulu, Dell Computers, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Most Personal Computers (PC's),

I have the same problem

Any word on how we can get the correct drivers for the ir receiver. All the other info I checked said we could use our Harmony remotes to work the HTPC as long as we had some type of IR receiver.
