I have an old occasional-use Win7 32bit comp of which all USB ports have become inoperable. While checking I noticed there is no "Universal Serial Bus Controller" listed in the Device Manager tree nor can any USB references be found elsewhere (such as under Other). No broken device "caution signs" are present.
I did scrounge up a legacy Intel 2.0 USB driver package and attempted an install but after rebooting I still have no indication of any USB controllers. I can still use the comp by way of MS's Mouse Without Borders, which I've done on and off for years. Would be nice to enable the mouse, keyboards and portables for a bit longer. Looking for a possible suggestion or two.

Thanks!
