USB User Access

Hello Everyone,

This is my first time post....

I have been doing a project at work which will involve securing several standalone systems with Windows 7 Pro. I want to prevent user (standard) access to USB however allow the Admin access to the USB drive. We do not use any form of USB devices except a thumb drive t move data between the PC's at admin level.

I have tried using the Policy Editor however that seems to either bock access to the drive for all users or only one user (all or nothing), which is really frustrating.

I was wondering if any one could recommended some free software or cheap software that would be good for the job or another way of securing the PC's with the restrictions I am after.

Haven't checked now, but it's possible one of the many free tools on the site might be able to help you.

Thank you for your post, I have looked at the post and the tools that are on this site seems to apply to Windows 2000 and 9x.

Unless I am in a silly moment, I can not see anything relating to USB drives except to enure they get a certain letter when connected. This seems to be a common question, but I cannot seem to fins the anwser anywhere.
