Solved User profile service service failed the log on

When we try to access my daughters laptop, it loads her user icon and prompts for her password, when we enter it it says :

The User Profile Service service failed the logon
User profile cannot be loaded

Can anyone help please ?

I can't get the laptop to load Windows in safe mode, instructions said to press and hold F8 on restart and this worked once earlier but now will not work ???

I find that tapping F8 non-stop at boot works better than trying to just press F8 within that very short time frame allowed to do so.

You might also see if you may be able to use one of the other options to boot into Safe Mode.
