Hello fellow windows lovers......... ;)

Im having some weird problem. I have reinstalled windows 7 a couple of times for the last weeks because of some driver issues. During these installations I noticed that the user rights is different from one installation to another.

My first install was ok, I could install i.e dropbox without having right-click the installer as administrator.
The current install I have to right-click and run the installer as administrator or the install wizard didn't show.

After installation after bootup, I get error at dropbox launch that it failed due some permission rights, so I have to right-click and run as admin to be able to start the damn application. Furthermore.. when I try to upload any file to dropbox, it just halts at syncronizing and don't upload any files.

Dropbox is just an example, this issue goes with all application with install.. whats the deal? My previous installation of windows never had this issues, well... prob me having the issues ;)

I would like to be able to install any application without the hassle of "run as administrator" every time and not worry about permission. it should work as smooth as every other previous installation I had done before.

And yes, I have had UAC activated during previous windows as well

Sorry if I posted on wrong forum or duped with previous threads.

TIA! :)

What are your UAC settings set to?

Have you tried making a new admin user profile and see if the issue still exists?

"Obviously silly" is the daily life of tech support. Always start with the basics, always. If that offends you, you can help yourself.
