Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to use two speaker systems at the same time. I have a dual monitor setup (each monitor has speakers of its own integrated into the back) and I would love to play my music from both at the same time. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance!

What kind of audio does the monitors use? Analog (standard PC speaker output) or HDMI?

If its just standard analog PC audio, you can parallel the output from the PC's speaker jack to each monitor. Use a stereo "Y" cable with a 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo plug on one end and two 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo jacks on the other end. Connect a cable from one of the Y jacks to one monitor and another cable from the other Y jack to the other monitor.

If its HDMI then it can be an issue.

I was thinking about using an audio splitter, but no, I use HDMI cables to connect my monitors to my computer.

If you are using HDMI, how are you connecting both monitors? HDMI includes both digital video and digital audio.

Two monitors. One HDMI cable per monitor plugged into my GPU. I'm not sure I quite understand your question if that's not the answer you're seeking...

The problem with that gets back to Windows only allows one "default" audio playback device. If HDMI port 1, for example, is set as the default audio playback device and you are also using HDMI port 2, you would not be able to set it as a playback device. This is a Windows limitation on only one default audio playback device.

Can you post a screen shot of the Sound panel/Playback section?

For example, here is mine. I'm not using HDMI, just the PC's sound card (Speakers).

VW-246-1 and VW-246-2 are my monitors and Speakers is my personal gaming headset.

I've been gone, had to watch the NASCAR Race...

That's what I thought. You can only have one default audio device and can't have audio in both.
