Various 0x0000007A Stop Errors on Newly Installed Win7 and HD

Well, I just got a BSOD this morning. Another 7A Error showing up within the usual timeframe just as I expected. And also as I expected, it didn't create a dumpfile. I've left one of these 7A Error screens up for multiple hours before and nothing happens. I don't have reason to believe this one would've been any different. I did leave it up for about 10 minutes though, taking a picture with my phone as I have done with everyone of them, before restarting my computer and coming here to post about this.

I suppose it's good to know that it seems I've confirmed that these 7A errors are a special situation after all. I can't imagine this hasn't happened before. Would be too odd if there wasn't some precedent with this sort of thing. There's got to be a reason why these particular kinds of errors aren't producing a dumpfile. So that's something maybe. I was really hoping for a dumpfile this time though.

Something is causing these on a schedule if you can narrow it down to a specific time frame like that.

What sort of scheduled tasks are in that time frame? Disk defrag? Some other maintenance task?

I'm not sure how I'd check, but I can't think of much.

Like I said before, I only recently remembered I had my system restore and backup set on a monthly basis to my incompatible external hard drive. It was still scheduled this way even though I'd learned soon after of this incompatibility issue. I tried to disassociate the system restore and backup with my external without choosing another outlet, but the only way it seemed to stop this was to stop it at the schedule. And I'm pretty sure I did that, although it didn't seem obvious.

If there's a way to see what all your scheduled tasks are, that would be handy. I'd have a hard time believing this is a coincidence. I know I've not remembered and dated all the occurrences, but I can say that most of them have happened on a Wednesday or Thursday. I should check and see if my phone hides the dates of my photos somewhere just to be sure absolutely of the dates and roughly times they happened.


Edit: A default defrag schedule could really be a thing though. I need to look into that. This is a hybrid HD and I don't want it defragging necessarily. At least not the SSD half. I wonder if there's a way to control that. Frankly I should've looked into this sooner just in case.

Okay, so I found a place in the control panel that lists all my scheduled tasks. So that's taken care of. Indeed I had defrag default scheduled for every Wednesday. This could really be it. I'm actually hopeful on this. I turned off the schedule. My Hybrid Drive should manage this sort of thing on it's own. I'm not sure how, but that's kind of the point with it, in a way. Maybe I won't get anymore errors now. It'll be a while before I know for sure. I'll update in this thread as usual with news both good or bad. Yeah, I'm pretty hopeful for this. I can't believe I didn't think of it before. Thanks for opening my eyes here, heh. We'll see. If nothing else it's another thing to eliminate.

Well, it's been a long busy week and I haven't been on this computer at all really. Wasn't able to use it on Wednesday of Thursday to see if my usual BSODs are gone. I was planning on mentioning this here but as soon as I turned on my computer today I had a BSOD. A new BSOD though. Perhaps this will help diagnose what's been wrong, but I'm not sure. Seems Malewarebytes could be the cause but I'd rather someone who knows what they're looking at to provide an opinion. It's a 7E Error this time I guess and not the usual 7A. I'm hoping that means they have more in common and could be related but I have no real idea on that.

I'll attach the dumpfile, although the folder that was created for it seems different this time...

I can create a new thread dedicated to this BSOD if recommended.


Edit: The attachment didn't post so I think I ought to zip up the folder rather than try to link the dumpfile directly.
