On the subject of uninstalling the drivers before installing the new one - would that be possible with all drivers, or only on drivers for peripheral devices? I can't imagine it'd be a good idea to uninstall the drivers for internal components, surely that would just stop them from working at all, making you unable to get the new driver installed?
