Solved unstable system configuration after clean OEM reinstall Windows 7 Pro

I never need to tweak permissions at all, but I operate under an Admin account at all times - since its what is assigned during install and needn't be changed except in the case of completely incompetent users. I also keep my data on another partition and it has never required permission tweaks.

Thanks for the caution, I don’t intend to change permissions unless necessary (or correct a mistake); I’m still thinking in XP mode with limited user account as additional protection of system files; also I just wasn’t sure whether those settings might be the cause for the test script of robocopy I tried to run did not work.

I now have several bootable USBs that I want to consolidate into a multi-bootable USB (Macrium, Mini Tool, Window Defender Offline – I read somewhere that this last program might need to stay on its own USB?). This last OEM install of Windows 7 was done with an 8GB bootable USB made with UltraIso. Please help with specific steps to add the listed programs. Can I use the files already in the individual USBs? FYI: these were made with Rufus program (before I found the post you wrote about UltraIso. Or do I need to start back with the original ISO files? Many thanks for being patient with a not-so-experienced user who have been using XP for the past decade!
