Hello, I am getting various BSOD. Mostly it is of the 0X1A variety. It usually happen shortly after I login to Windows 7. My wife gets it, also, when she logs in to her user. However, I recently recieved an 0x3B BSOD while signing up for this forum. I think I have all my drivers up to date. Any and all help would be appreciated.
I have a custom built PC
ASUS Z87-Plus MB
I5-4400 3.1GHz Processor
8GB G-skill DDR3 PC3 12800 memory
Samsung 840 SSD 500GB and 2 1TB SATA
LG Blu-ray
Gigabyte NVidia GTX 660 2GB video card
Window 7 Home Premium 64Bit
Avast for virus

Thank you,
Terry

Hello Terry, it's not advised to bump your thread as it removes your thread from the Unanswered Threads list and people will think you're being helped.

As for your issue, can you please follow the instructions below as a first step to rule out your RAM.

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

   Note
View attachment 340482

Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.

If MemTest86+ comes back clean we'll look at enabling Driver Verifier, but let's see the MemTest86+ results first and foremost.

Thanks Boozad didn't know there was an unanswered thread.
As for running memtest I have already run that for 13 laps. No errors.

Just to confirm it was definitely MemTest86+ ? There are multiple MemTests out there and it's critical we confirm it is definitely that one you've run. If it is follow the instructions below to enable Driver Verifier.

Driver Verifier will stress your drivers and cause BSODs if any fail. Follow this tutorial to enable/disable it. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html

Enable Driver Verifier but only enable these options:
Standard settings and IRP logging step 3.
Don't enable Force Pending I/O Requests

   Warning
Make a System Restore point before enabling Driver Verifier.

   Note
Your system will act very sluggishly while DV is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Got sick of all the BSODs so I took it back to the guys that built it for me. After running their tests they determined that it WAS the memory card. Don't know why memtest86+ didn't show this. Anyway, since I got it back with new memory I haven't had any BSOD. Knock on wood.

Thanks for the advice.

Terry
