2 BSOD's within 15 minutes yesterday, first was IRQ_not_less_or_equal, while watching iplayer, sound started buzzing wildly, but i assumed that was due to the fact it was playing sound when is BS'd and the 2nd one was something along the lines of IRQ_system_stop (cant remember exact details) dump of the last one is attached, any suggestions?

Hi and welcome

this crash was probably caused by memory management. That coupled with the old drivers listed below.

I would
download memtestx86 and run for several hours at least
run a system file check to verify and repair your system files

The usual applies
If you are overclocking STOP
if you have a raid update its driver

If you have more crashes upload the files

I like this one the best,... If you are overclocking STOP

Unless of course you actually take the time to use a good stablity testing program to make sure you are completely 100 percent stable. Most overclockers seem to omit this very important step.

Depends on the test being used. I test for 10 hours using Prime95 blend test "the real deal". If you want to really find out how stable it is try running that but watch the temps.

Usually does. you can download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) to keep an eye on the temps.

Gotta watch that OC it is the cause of more random things than ppl realize

Good Luck

secdrv.sys is from Windows Update - it's a Windows component. If Windows Update doesn't offer it, then it can't be updated.

ASACPI.SYS and AsIO.SYS are Asus utilities that you can get from the Asus website.
They are contained in the ATK0110 ACPI driver (ASACPI.SYS only), the Asus AISuite, and the Asus PCProbe (there may be others also).

ADIHdAud.sys is the High Definition Audio driver for your Analog Devices sound card.
As Analog Devices doesn't release drivers directly to users, you'll probably have to find them at the RealTek website here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High%20Definition%20Audio%20Codecs
or from the Packard Bell support website

Yes, utilities needed for this to troubleshoot/repair. Install the Probell and/or ATK0110 utilities to update those drivers shown. That's the goal here.

After you do, you can go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers

to right click on them, go to properties then details tab to look at dates. For x64, there are also other folders but most drivers should still be in the folder I listed.

of course its important, wouldnt tell me to update it otherwise, sorry for the stupid comment its been a long day, ok now downloading AI suite to get the drivers out of it thanks for the help!

next stupid question: what do these drivers actually do?

edit: ok now im REALLY confused, these drivers arent even in my System32 folder? and i check all sub folders too, they just arent there. or is the problem that they are missing? i have the drivers in my downloads folder, but im reluctant to install until i get a yay or nay from someone who can advise me on this

thanks geo :) ran setup and got told "you need an Asus Motherboard" which is fair enough because my motherboard is a Packard Bell modified ECS one, is it just a case of drag and droping the relevant drivers into the driver folder then a reboot? or is there a specific procedure for installing them?

I'm not familiar with the AsIO.sys file, so I can't give an opinion on that.
The ASACPI.SYS file is supposed to be required, but I haven't had a chance to experiment with it. Some people have renamed it and haven't reported issues.
