If your running windows 7, can you please tell me when on the simple user interface, does clicking on the menu show any icons on the left?

yeah reinstalled it. and i downloaded it to a memory pen then run the installer from there. The installer was something like 300kb then it downloaded the program on install

dam it! still the same. this is the only issue though and they are there on setup menu. So its not really a problem. But it would be nice to know whats causing it

yay, got it working. i think im not sure it was mcafee site advisor or a registry key i deleted in regedit.
