Hello, i currently have a dualboot running between windows 7 x64 and ubuntu 13.04 x64.
Lately ive noticed that my internet is extremely slow when using windows 7, however if i boot into ubuntu its fine.
Ive tried running speed tests as well. Windows is sometimes having trouble getting even 1mbps! meanwhile ubuntu can easily get around 30mbps (what my internet should be). In windows it will also sometimes completely disconnect from my network, and then reconnect.

Its getting really frustrating, especially since i need to use windows as my primary os. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Your router has a wireless mode setting that you may fiddle. The wireless mode is defaulted to a mixed mode and you may change this to N (if your router supports this mode), G/N, B/G. Same as you Wi-Fi adapter, you fiddle on the setting if it's available. Make sure to run Speedtest when you change the mode until you are satisfied.

For disconnection issue, you might want to check for any interference, install and run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector Tool from CNET.

Have you also updated the Windows 7 driver to the latest?
