alexmolinavr6 welcome to the Seven Forums.

The reason you can't enable Aero is due to the age of the onboard graphics (Intel 845G) is that it physically doesn't have the necessary hardware support for Aero. Now for the full specs on that HP of yours,

HP Pavilion a1110n Desktop PC Product Specifications HP Pavilion a1110n Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

and the motherboard in it,

It only has PCI slots which severely limits what can go in it. Personally I wold live without Aero for now until you get a new computer that is fully Windows 7 compatible, but if you have to have Aero I wouldn't go for anything more or less than one of these (more costs to much and less doesn't have the support),

stormy13, thanks for your fast response, I really don't care about spending that amount since is accesible, as long as the aero will show.

So, will aero work with that card?

I currently have 3/4 GB ram on it, I know i need at least 1gb to properly use aero, I have placed 2 512MB on it, and my computer won't start, why would that be?

I only have 2 slots, and wanted to put the max GB of ram possible.

Price does not matter, since I have acess to parts.

Thanks in advance!

start with 1 stick of ram and start your machine, rince and repeat with all individual sticks you have as one may be broken, remember the are very sensitive to static so don't rub your feet on a carpet while your changing them:D

try to use the same ram in every slot as well don't mix and match when your having issues you can do it to some degree as long as the voltage is the same for every stick.

remember techs work using anti static straps or in rooms designed to eliminate static doing it at home you may not have that luxuary so be very carefull.
