Hi All,
Firstly, apologies if this has already been coverered, if it has a link to appropriate information would be very helpful.
I have 3 computers all sharing files via a windows 7 homegroup. Setting this up was easy.
I was hoping to have my main PC (which is a fairly old Athlon 3200 machine) as a sort of data server with my other PC's (both low power Atom 270 jobs) pulling stuff off as and when via my wireless network.
This seems to work okay but I am having difficulty streaming video content. I was hoping to be able to stream DivX video from the aforementioned Athlon machine to the Atom 270 HTPC but I get very slow and jerky playback through media player. Incidentally, all the machines in question report excellent wireless signal strength.
Should this be possible or am I expecting too much from the available bandwidth/PC power? If it is possible any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rich
