Friday Oct 19 - No responses yet. Is this question to vaguely worded, or I am missing something here that is incredibly simple that no one wants to point out? I am open to any comments. Thanks.

I'm putting all my DVD's on the hard drive, and trying to watch them in Windows Media Center. The movie quality is fine, but I can page through the movie by anything but "title". The categories of "genre", "year", etc. remain blank, no matter how I copy the movie to the hard drive. Yet these labels are all auto-filled when I open the DVD in the media center. Any ideas on how I can fill these labels from the hard drive copy of the movie?

I wouldn't even bother with the media centre movies section. Use mediabrowser...you can configure it to display loads of artwork, synopsis, trailers...etc. I don't know of any way media centre can do this other than the small thumbnails and usual filters as you suggest!
