Virtual memory/Page File

I have a computer with 6 gig memory in Win 7. I have 2 HDs. I have been reading about the Page File/Virtual Memory for years. It includes everything from none for 6 gig memory, 1 to 2 times regular memory, place in separate partition, place4 on 2nd HD...

What, where, etc. do you recommend?

I personally find that leaving the page file set to be managed by the system (Windows) is best.

When it comes to page file or any other memory operation I have tried many things and always end up letting Windows 7 take care of such things. It does it quiet well. If one has a memory usage problem just stick more ram in.

I disagree with the others but possibly from a different perspective. I have always had a fixed pagefile on the first partition of a second drive such that it doesn't become fragmented and in my case it is encrypted so no 'messy' bits to worry about. It can be set to be cleared at shutdown rather than being encrypted which achieves much the same or even both can be used. There is the possibility of secure information remaining in the pagefile or elsewhere if not fixed so it depends how you view the possibility of computer theft as to what you do here.
