Estou tentando instalar o Virtual PC no meu W7 Ultimate.

Meu PC:
i5 2500 - MB Asus P8H67-M EVo - 4GB RAM - HD 500G SATA III - W7 64 Ultimate com todas as atualizações instaladas.

I'm trying to install Virtual PC 7 on my Windows Ultimate. Until recently managed to create a virtual machine and install Win XP SP3 profecionales. Practically completed all installation steps. I open the XP and I can maneuver the mouse inside. But I can not access the top menu to install the integration features as the mouse does not reach the Tools menu. And, worse when I use Ctrl + Alt + Left Arrow released the mouse is not required to access the menu and - incredibly - my screen flashes and goes to the portrait - and the mouse will still stuck XP screen!
Just turning off the XP you release the mouse and accessing Screen Resolution can go back to landscape format.

My PC:
i5 2500 - MB Asus P8H67-M Evo - 4GB RAM - 500G SATA HD III - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 with all updates installed.

Can anyone help?

I found out that Ctrl+Alt+left arrow rotates my screen. So my question has to focus on how to liberate the cursor that is bound to my virtual XP to get to the menu bar to proceed with the instalation.

Tks. This info was the one I used to guide my instalation.
I´m goingo to try to disable the Ctrl+Alt+Left arrow in my Intel Graphics menu and see if my Virtual XP responds to it.

Many Virtual machines capture the mouse and won't let you get to the menu. Just press ctl alt del and then
cancel. it will release the mouse from the virtual machine and you can do your thing with it.
I use it all the time running a virtual dos and windows 98 machines under vpc.

I have dos 6.22, wfwg 3.11, win98, 2000 and xp VHD's available for testing. MS's Virtual PC works great.
My VM Reboots

Can you shut the VM down and reboot?
Try changing the resolution and go to Display in Control Panel to change orientation of the monitor.

Yes I can. It was akward because the display had rotated but I managed to shut it down and reboot. Then I looked at my Intel Graphics menu and discovered that Crtl+Alt+left arrow had the effec of rotating the screen, so I correct the orientation of scree. So now I will try do disable this shortcut on the Intel Graphics and hope my VM XP starts to respond to it.

Tks

There's a typo in Virtual PC message which is displayed when mouse is captured: To "release" the pointer to the host you need to press CTRL + ALT + RIGHT ARROW, not LEFT ARROW as the displayed message tells you to do.

Hopefully someone in Microsoft notices this irritating, confusing typo and corrects it.

Dear Members,

This was my first search for help in this Community.
And I can say I was pleased and surprised with so many members giving tips, and so goods that I could easily solve the problem. My VM Windows XP is installed.
It´s not running because I am having a password trouble. I can´t Logon.
I am still analysing the problem and will post about it soon.

Thanks for you all!

Might be by medication that makes me post as I do ... ;) Or the fact that I'm forced to use on-screen keyboard.

However, now when I tested, both Left and Right Arrow works. But at least by me, the left arrow does not work always. Right arrow works 100% always.

Hi,

It did not work for me. It rotated my screen. My Intel Graphics uses both shorkeys.
But the Ctrl+Alt+Del and after CANCEL worked fine.

Thank you anyway
