You would need to install the Windows approved WHQL version of this driver in order to have the virtual WiFi miniport adaptor.

I'm not completely sure where to find those drivers, still it remains, if it's not a WHQL driver then it won't have the virtual WiFi, Try Windows update.

After digging around a bit there is apparently no WHQL driver for this NIC and no plans to make one, therefore it won't support the hosted wireless network feature.

This may not be what you wanted to hear but you at least have an answer to your original question and won't need to waste any time getting the Msoft virtual WiFi to work.
https://communities.intel.com/thread/32122

You could try using the virtual router software to set up the hosted wireless network.

Of course it's not in Device Manager.

As I already mentioned, that particular adaptor is not supported. Nothing short of an act of God will change that fact. The link I posted says this if you bothered to click on it?

Your only hope is to try setting up the virtual router which works for many, that is why I posted the link to it.

You are welcome for the information. :)
