Solved Vmware windows seven issues

I don't know where to post a thread like this, since this is a problem for a very specific situation. I am running windows 7 over a Virtual Machine through VMware, and I am using it to run windows apps that I can't run through wine, especially Ableton, which doesn't support Linux. I can run it through wine, but there's very limited VST support, which means I have to run it on Windows.
The program runs fine, but there are some issues that I'm sure they can be fixed somehow.
Scrolling through and zooming in on the project is erratic and incredibly inaccurate, as well as unpredictable. Every time I press a key on my keyboard to play a note on a virtual instrument, the note I press just repeats itself instead of holding it, which should be the instruments' behaviour. How can I fix these issues?. I understand the keyboard one is fine if one would write, since if we hold a key, the key will just keep being printed on the screen, but not for playing MIDIS, where we use the pc keyboard as a synthesizer.

I apologize if this forum does not allow for posts like these, but I don't have another forum to post it on that seems relevant, and I'm not the kind of person who creates accounts on forums just to ask one question, then disappears.

Try increasing the resources that VMWare makes available to the virtual machine. For example, make sure that the vm has enough memory. Your computer has 8GB of RAM, so give half of that to the vm. Also, make sure that sufficient hard drive space is available to the vm, so that when you run Windows 7, it has lots of free space on its virtual hard drive.

I increased the VM's power from 4 GB of RAM to 6.7 GB, and the CPU power from 4 cores to six cores. The hard drive space is 120 GB, which is more than enough for a 32-bit OS, which makes me wonder why would I even need more than 4 GB of RAM in the first place. Nothing worked. I checked the input options on vmware and unchecked the option "Automatically grab and ungrab the mouse cursor" and now it works the way it should. The MIDI notes problem is also gone, but I know that fix is only temporary, as it happened earlier.

EDIT:
Upon Further tinkering, I found out that the above mentioned option will only affect the VM if Exclusive mode is not activated. This mode is the responsible for such erratic behaviour, as the specs are well over the required minimum, or even recommended.
