A while ago I changed the volume for Minecraft and Firefox with the Windows 7 feature 'Volume Mixer'. Now, when I attempt to reset the volume of each program to being the same by dragging all of the volume bars up to maximum, when i then turn the master volume down, Minecraft & Firefox just go back to the volume they would be into proportion of the new master volume. Is there any way to reset all the volumes on the volume mixer?

The solution may work for you, but your situation is slightly different. I don't see how it could hurt to try though.
