VPN network properties slow to display

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SPK 1. Anyone run across an issue with VPN network properties slow to display (2-3 minutes). At times I need to change TCP IP v4 IP setting deselect "use default gateway on remote network" and it takes an abnormal amount of time to pull up. Task manager shows these top running proceses when the attempting to pull up the properties...

Welcome to the forum. with a vpn you connect to their server which may be in FRance that then connects to the site which may be in Japan so its going all around the world through 1,00s of routers. With no vpn you go straight to Japan on the fastest route. That is one of the drawbacks of using a vpn

Thanks for reply but I should have specified in my initial post the VPN properties are slow to open even without an established vpn connection so no correlation between the actual vpn itself and the sluggish properties opening
