Having to reboot W7 Pro 64 at least once a day in order to stop some process hog ... Event viewer review shows it is capturing 4000+ audit failures per hour for item 5157 ... something to do with a svhost communication being blocked ... looking at the detail of the PID this suggests it is related to svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNetworkRestricted ... What is this? Is there something that can be done to resolve this issue?

Process Monitor Process Tree Tool is pointing to audiodg.exe ... is this a required process?

Thanks ... I read that link after editing my post ... about all I take away from this link is that audiodg is required if you want audio on your pc ... there is a side note suggesting it also listens to a network port ... being the 5157 item details suggests a coms issue, perhaps the PORT connection is what is causing these continuous faults ... could this be a firewall issue ... running Free Malwarebytes, Acronis Active Protection, and MS Essentials

It may not be your first choice, but I'd be inclined to back up my data, and then do a CLEAN Re-Install of Win-7. It kind of sounds like there is a Ghost in the Machine. (errors in the Registry)

I only say that, because, over the years that I've run Windows 7, it's gotten messed up several times, and a re-install was the best fix. That just solves such a myriad assortment of problems.
You should always have your data files backed up anyway. Eh?

This appears to have been caused by NPCAP a 3rd party driver used by WireShark ... I had to forcibly remove NPCAP by doing a manual scrub of the Registry with Registrar ... a fresh install of Wireshark resolved the NPCAP issue ... Average CPU usage is now down in the single-digit range with no apps running
