HI I dont know what happened , but when I load up Win7 after the please wait screen there is a black screen with my pointer.I can move the pointer fine but I have to wait till the black screen goes so I can get to the desktop.I normally have to wait an additional 5 mins (on top of the normal W7 load) for the black screen to disappear and for me to go to the desktop.
Once there everything is slow and i can hear the hdd keep making that searching noise.(Is there a way to view my hdd activity % on Win7 ?) When I go into Task Manager CPU Usage is only at 17% Going to Resource Monitor the Disk shows up as 10MB/s There are also 2 or more of the same app instances running in resource monitor guessing this is normal ? I already installed Malware Bytes and had been infected on that pc in the past.Im normally able to fix the problem by running a scan Currently doing a scan doesnt show any problems.I ran HiJack this and attached the logs to this post(I also had problems attaching the log using the problem pc , explorer kept loading and crashed) Are there any diagnostic apps I should run and report the results here ?
When booting to safe mode using Msconfig , the black screen and high hdd usage problem isnt present. So its either a service or app and not a problem with my hdd hardware. Also my specs are Dual Core @ 2.5GHz 6GB ram. Ran Win7 smoothly before so its not a problem with slow hardware.I ran System restore and restored to last weeks restore point but the problem is still there.(Problem just occurred yesterday) Dont want to go back to when i first installed w7 as ill lose all my installed apps :(
I dunno whats wrong ? Please help >.<
Thanks In advance

Hi AzNDuDe, Welcome to SevenForums.

As you have already check with Malwarebytes, lets move to next step. Go to Task Manager and then to Process Tab. Click on Show Process from All users. Click on CPU column and sort it by highest to lowest and see which activity other than System Idle Process is taking up the CPU usage. Also, scan your PC with an antivirus.

Keep us posted.

Hi thx for the response and welcome.Been a member on here ages ago this is my first post ! usually just read and follow other pplz solutions couldnt fix it so i posted
Anywho I did as you requested I booted into safe mode scaned my pc with MSE (protection was off red icon but could still scan files) and also scaned again using Malware Bytes .and it showed no problems .and took a screenshot of task manager with show processes for all users I also went to resource monitor and screenshot there as well.As you can see in the screenshots the CPU usage is quite low resource monitor does highlight explorer in red showing in the status not responding ! I also ran into another problem where if I create a new folder and rename , it doesn't refresh straight away and just shows as New Folder..So many problems would be grateful for a solution

I tried other pplz solutions but had no luck such as the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon that was all there
Also tried DL Prevx's fixshell.exe and ran it on the problematic pc it didnt fix the problem
I had installed Win7 Manager and ran all the repair options available
Windows File Protection
Repair all System Components
Rebuild the Wmi Repository

The only thing Ive yet to try in the solutions i googled for black screen is checkdisk and sfc I figured since I can boot into safe mode without any problems meant that the files shouldnt be corrupted ?
Do you have any suggestions of what i can do ?
Thanks
