Solved w7 Explorer ToolBar Help

The toolbar indicated in the attached image appears on any explorer window I open when I move the cursor into that area. I believe it is some system mod I did and I 'think' I got it from this website. I hope someone can help me locate the tutorial or thread that accomplishes this 'auto-hide' feature for this toolbar.

Hello MS,

I think you may referring to when you press F11 to toggle Windows Explorer in full screen mode. This would have the toolbar to auto hide and appear when you move the pointer at the top.

thnx Shawn but sorry, no, that's not it. The behavior is present regardless of window size. It's possible it is a sys mod via some 3rd party custom explorer management s/w. I'll keeping looking around this machine of mine. Maybe you know which sys file is affected?

that looks familiar - hmmmm, I have had this toolbar behavior for many years and have run multiple 'sfc /scannow' commands. I would have thought this auto-hide behavior would have gone away as a result, but perhaps sfc does not 'fix' this mod?

It should have undone it unless you may have had a 3rd party app that sets it for you. I don't know of one though.

The link you found to Vishal's site was spot on. And sfc does indeed undo the mod. The mod is embedded in my custom themes and surfaces once I fire up the theme. Thanks so much for your help!
