Hi All
Have installed W7 Home Premium on brand new Segate drive,up & running for about 4 weeks +/-
Have been experienced a number of bsod's. A few occured when using WMP others were random..Unit on 24/7, some happened overnight when unit not fully active. Updated vid board drivers to current Nvidia W7 version.
As a new poster I hope that I have supplied enough correct info to be of help to those who might be kind enough to look it over & comment.

Thanks RussR

Hello.

You have a memory corruption problem.

Find the exact Vdimm (Ram voltage), timings and frequency for your RAM by visiting Kingston's site. Adjust your motherboard bios accordingly. Use the spd tab of CPU-Z to find out which modules you have, if you need.

Update these drivers to the latest you can find. If unimportant to your usage and functioning of the system, uninstall them and/or related apps:

truecrypt truecrypt.sys Tue Nov 01 18:17:52 2005 <<<Update to latest TrueCrypt
hamachi hamachi.sys Wed Aug 15 19:05:00 2007
ASACPI ASACPI.sys Thu Aug 12 22:52:52 2004 << definitely update this to 2009
RTL8187 RTL8187.sys Thu Jun 26 21:40:17 2008

From an elevated command prompt, run chkdsk /r C: for every partition you have on the system. Change C for each run to match the partition letters.

If none of this helps, run Memtest86+ overnight to test the modules.

Thank you torrentg for your quick reply;
Installed Kingston ram is KHX6400D2LLK2/2G...I had a issue with one of the sticks in Oct/07 ..Kingston replaced under warr.at that time..Will run MemTest-86 tonight & see if it turns up anything.(it identified the problem 07)

Would like to keep TruCrypt & Hamachi versions that are installed for the moment..

Will check on RTL8187 & see what I can find.

No partitions on HD will run chkdsk also & perhaps SpinRite on drive.

Will also check bios for ram settings values.

Will post back on what I find & or results.

Thanks again for your suggestions...
