It's been a few days and I can't seem to find the drivers. I'm running in legacy mode at the moment in preparation for Linux+ but dual-booting Windows 7 seems to be causing problems. During installation, both USB 2.0 ports had power, but the installation couldn't continue due to drivers not being found. Switched the flash drive to USB 3.0 and everything worked. The HP site removed all of the Windows 7 drivers, but the manufacturers gave no problems.

Laptop: G6-2288ca
Motherboard: HP 1849
Chipset: AMD A55/A60M
PCI-e: Radeon HD 7660G
CPU: AMD A10-4600M FP2 (904)
USB: AMD Hudson XHCI, OHCI, EHCI

The USB 3.0 port works, the 2x USB 2.0 are getting power but no drivers. I tried removing hidden devices in device manager but still nothing. AMD Hudson chipset was installed which got rid of the SM bus controller driver warning.
